Could there be global warming
On such a lovely morning,
Or is it just a little lie
To blind us as our people die.
Dear Earth,
I need to apologize for I have hurt you.
I have gone through my daily life
being selfish and careless
I was abusing you without even knowing
I didn't notice before but now it is showing
Throwing litter on the the floor
Making the world look bitter
Today you look beautiful
Leaving me breathless
But how long will it take
For you to be deserted.
In order to save our planet we must take action NOW! We can start by revving up renewable electricity. Renewable energy like solar, wind, geothermal, and bio-energy, are all available around the entire world and will never run out.
It was a gloomy day at the doctors office. Jimmy wasn't feeling so good.
The doctor came back in with his diagnosis and said he has terminal skin cancer. The doctor said he got it by to much radiation from the sun. The doctor also said that pollution which causes global warming makes the ozone layer weaker and therefore letting more radiation from the sun in.
Jimmy starts to weep and thinks about his life and how this is going to affect him.
After a long time of weeping, depression and thinking. Jimmy decides he wants to make a difference and make sure that no one has two suffer from this again. Jimmy decides to join the E.P.A (Environmental Protection association). He is determined to make a difference.
Five years later, Jimmy becomes president of the E.P.A and is really making a difference. But everything is not perfect Jimmy is starting to feel more ill. So he goes in the doctor's office telling him how he is feeling. The doctor decides to give Jimmy blood work. The doctor comes in and tells him that's his cancer is getting worse. He says thats Jimmy does not...... have a lot of time left to live.
Three years later, Jimmy is dying but he has made a huge difference to our planet Earth. Pollution rates in dirty cities have gone drastically lower. He has added more turbines everywhere around the world causing less pollution. Jimmy has died as a legend to this earth. The world is now a more cleaner and better place just because of one diagnosis.
How long will it take for you to finally realize Earth is dying? Our home is dying and we aren't doing anything about it. We have the technology to save our home and yet we do nothing about it. Global warming is killing our home and will eventually make it inhabitable. We are allowing to much carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Since we are allowing this to happen our ozone layer is become weak allowing the suns U.V. rays to come in.
You probably haven't notice but it is affecting us right now. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering earlier, temperatures will continue to rise, frost free season and growing season will lengthen, more droughts and heat waves will occur, hurricanes will become stronger and more intense, sea levels will rise, and Arctic is likely to be ice free. There are many things that will happen this isn't all.
Some solutions are simple we can just reuse reduce and recycle. That isn't enough though, we need more something that can really impact our problem. We need to use renewable energy and stop using fossil fuel energy. Renewable energy will never run out and it isn't harmful to our earth.
A reason why we don't switch fossil fuel energy from renewable energy is because fossil fuel energy is such a huge industry. With it being so huge there are many people employed by it. With that being said its not a big problem because renewable will create new jobs allowing the people who lost there old fossil fuel job can employ for renewable energy jobs.
We have the tech and all the answers for this problem to be solved so we have to fix it before its to late. Our home is here for now but how long will it take for it to finally give up? If we take action now we wont need to find out.
