It was seven o' clock. Partially cloudy outside. I come out of my house with my suitcase ready for work. I walk down the empty sidewalk down to the bus stop, I wait. 5 minutes later I hear the giant screech of the bus. The doors open and I enter. I look around for any empty seat available. My eyes then lay on an empty seat next to an elderly woman. So I walk up to the seat and sit.

Not even one minute sitting next to her, the elderly woman hollers to the bus drive," Excuse me, excuse me". The bus stops and the driver gets up walks towards the driver asks,

"What is the big deal here?"

" How can you let a filthy negro sit next to me?" exclaims the old white lady. I was stunned asking myself did she really just ask him that? Everyone in the bus suddenly turned silent. Turning their heads to the both of us.

"I'm sorry.... but there's no any other seat upfront." , the driver said.

"Then kick him out or someone else!", the lady said. I remain silent before I say something I'll regret later.

"As you wish the driver.", the driver said. I was shocked, I started asking myself ,"When will we overcome? When?."

"Get up sir." The driver said. "Ma'am you too"

" Thank you.", she replied.

" Now go sit back down.", the driver said to me. I was a bit confused but I asked no questions.

"Now you ma'am leave.", the driver demanded.

"What!", the lady yelled.

"You heard me now leave. How dare you discriminate and put down someone because of their skin. I will not accept that on my bus now leave."

The woman stomped her way out of the bus as the people applaud the bus driver. The bus continued driving and stops at my stop and as I walk out the bus I thank the driver for what he did. And slowly my faith in humanity is restoring.

In april 20,2018 they were talking about Segregation legacy they were talking about signing of the fair Housing Act of 1968 into law, johnson call it among the proudest.A half century the fair housing act became a civil rights landmark and became a showing housing in America.Study after study shows African-Americans still lag far behind whites in home ownership, a key asset in building middle-class wealth.

This topic is important because there were problem with the fair Housing in 1968 because nobody longer suffer the humiliation of being turned away because of their race .At the time the institutional problems the fair housing act was solving a lot of things. As the gap widens between rich and poor, African-Americans, who typically earn far less than whites and already face discrimination in the housing market, are in danger of being left further behind.

In the late month, the New York Times reported that the GOP-controlled Federal government is actively rolling back its mandate to enforce fair-housing laws. In a 2017 there was an interview about african american. It was about african american buying homes in suburbs. The black people homes were getting buy to certain neighborhood and landlords who avoid renting.

It's not about blacks and whites living next to each other African Americans are far more likely than whites to receive high interest mortgages from banks, real estate agents still steer buyers away from white communities. Some neighborhood associations still include race based restrictions on who can move in.

In conclusion racism should end because both white and black can connect with each other and have friendship. If it end now it better for kids in the future and they could have a relationship .Racism blocks large numbers of people from contributing new ideas and solutions to big problems.

— Racism Today —

Everyday living in fear

Hearing the mocks and jeers

About the color of my skin

When will the world overcome racism and win

Everyday on the news

Saying stuff that ain't even true

That Mexicans are drug dealers

And are rapists too

Inequality here and there

It just isn't fair

I want to stand up and fight

For what I know is rights

What about this generation

Who will lead the U.S. Nation

Will they lead in racism

Or lead in patriotism

— The Solution To Racism —

"You must never be fearful about what are you are doing when it is right". These were the words of a wise woman named Rosa Parks. A question we should ask ourselves everyday is why fear doing the right thing? Racism is something we see everyday and not everyone seems to be engaged to end it. What do you think are some solutions to end racism and different inequalities?

A form of inequality that we see everyday are in our own jobs. African Americans are twice as likely to be unemployed than a white person, and nearly 25% less when they are unemployed as it says in www.povertyactionlab.org. . A solution to this is to be open minded for workers in different cultural backgrounds and to give opportunities to everyone. People need jobs to provide for themselves and their families but they can't do that when they are unemployed because of the color of their skin.

As taxes are on the rise poverty is aswell and their is a clear inequality in this scene. In America the percentage of poverty for white people is 9% For black people the percentage is 22% and for hispanics it is 20%(www.kff.org). A solution to this is for a raise of payment in jobs and the lowering of taxes in areas of poverty. There is a saying that wealth is inhabited so why not ensure a healthy lifestyle for our next generation.

And just the obvious thing the verbal racism and the unkind words. A solutionis parents must teach their kids what is right and what's is wrong. And what to say, and what not to say. Nobody is born racist but people can grow up to the influence of racism. Thus we should teach our children form the very monet their born.

Some people may say that racism is a thing of the past and that there is no possible solution. But how can we be too sure if we haven't all tried. And there have been improvements. In 1958 44% of white people said that if a black person moved into their neighborhood they would move, it has dropped to 1%. In 1964 18% of white people claimed they had a black friend, now it is 86%. We have made progress and hopefully we will continue to.

"We shall overcome someday". When will we overcome racism? It can be soon with the possible solutions that I have presented to you. We have to be more open minded and more kind with everyone. And someday we may overcome.
